Izzy grew up in east Lost Angeles, California, and was thought to have been killed in a house-fire during his youth. The house fire was believed to have been the result of gang warfare in the neighborhood, and although authorities did not find his body, he was presumed dead by disintegration. Izzy actually survived the fire when his abilities manifested and he absorbed the flames around him to propel himself from the scene without notice! For years later, he lived on the streets and used his ability for his survival and self-gain and even had encounters with many of the local gangs. Eventually, he moved to Millennium City and joined the Cobra Lords biker gang when they offered to take him in and help him get on his feet. Going by the name Izzy Zigg, he attempted to become a successful musician until his plans were ruined one day by a much higher calling. It wasn't until the Qularr invasion that Izzy decided to help those in need. During the invasion, he lost a group of friends and decided to leave the life of crime and use his incredible power for the greater good of humanity! He has since left the Cobra Lords and is now known as Rampage. Rampage runs a club of heroes in Millennium City known as the Metal Militia and these heroes are strong believers in the need for the citizens to take matters into their own hands. Feeling that the MCPD isn't strict enough and allows criminals to walk, this group's sole purpose is to advocate street justice and brutalize criminal scum one scumbag at a time until the streets are cleaned up!

Iceberg's reign as a super villain began after a robbery-gone-wrong at a science lab in Millennium City. As a former member of the Cobra Lords biker gang, he and a group of Cobra Lords were sent to the lab in order to steal an unknown chemical element when law enforcement arrived at the scene. During their attempted escape, Iceberg slipped off of a scaffold and into a tank of liquid nitrogen. Thinking he was dead, his team, including then-friend Rampage, left him behind and escaped empty handed. What they didn't know was that much like Rampage, Iceberg's adrenaline rush led to the manifestation of his abilities. Not long after falling into the tank, he let out a sudden burst of cold, freezing everything in the building including the police. After realizing what had happened, he immediately became overconfident and vengeful for being abandoned and so he left the the Cobra Lords to form his own gang. Now he operates mostly at an undisclosed location in the Canadian Wilderness and has vowed to get revenge on Rampage for having left him behind. Iceberg will not rest until he has ended Rampage and his team of heroes!
