Riff Stone was once a regular person with the dream of becoming the most famous metal singer of all time, however, he had one big problem; he lacked a singing voice. People looked down on him although he had the passion for performing and this led to the moment that changed his life. One night after a gig, Riff was walking home and was approached by a man in a red suit who offered him the deal of a lifetime. He offered to give Riff the most powerful voice in heavy metal history in exchange for his soul. Not believing him, Riff quickly agreed and shook the man's hand. The very next day, Riff began to realize that his voice was indeed very powerful and without looking back, he assembled an incredible band that began their journey to super-stardom. Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. One night while performing at the biggest metal shows of the year, Riff began to transform into a demonic creature. Although this became the greatest show of all time for metalheads everywhere, it was Stone's final performance. Not long after the incident, he he decided to go into hiding since people couldn't accept him for his appearance. Living underneath the streets, he learned to control his abilities then decided to visit Millennium City where he met Rampage.Rampage showed him that he could be a hero despite looking demonic and now he is known as the Hellion; defender of the good and slayer of all that is evil!

Astaroth is one of Lucifer's top servants and is known as the Prince of Hell. After Riff Stone became the Hellion and refused to do the Devil's dirty work on Earth, Astaroth was sent to destroy him and consume his soul and deliver it to Lucifer in exchange for more power. However, Hellion was given such power himself that he has been able to escape the wrath of Astaroth time and time again. Astaroth has vowed to Lucifer that he will not return to Hell without bringing down the Hellion for good and he sees the situation as an inevitable victory overall. He will not rest until Hellion is dead!
