The Metal Militia was founded upon the ashes of the Battle of Detroit, rock city! Thousands of lives were lost and the entire world stood in disbelief as fragments of space-rock collided with the Earth. Through it all, those that battled Dr. Destroyer managed to save the planet, but at a great cost. Many of the heroes who survived the destruction found themselves lost and uncertain of what the future could bring, and so an unholy union of anti-heroic thrashers was formed! Dethklok is and inter-dimensional hero who was chosen to be among those who would lead this union, and using heavy metal as a motivational tool, the group became a band.

Not long after the Battle of Detroit, the band known as the Metal Militia began to have encounters with the Demon cult of Millennium City. Over time, the battles became more chaotic and even crossed into other dimensions. Since the rivalry began, the Militia has managed to keep the Demon organization at bay, but there is concern for the possibility of an inter-dimensional war breaking out. Only time can tell what's in store for the former Detroit, but one thing is certain; the Metal Militia are heavy metal soldiers who are willing to sacrifice it all to save the Earth from any threat!
